Story about Nala.
I heard about Nala from a friend. She said it is a favorite among the workers in Simatupang area, covered in white, delivering a clean and atmosphere. I saw the pictures of Nala and adored the beauty. Too bad I haven't had a time to make the trip there. So when I heard that Nala is expanding with Nala 2.0 in Gading Serpong, I decided to pay a visit.
It was kinda hard to find Nala. Located in shops area around Gading Serpong Boulevard, they have the same direction with Turning Point/ Daily Press coffee, but Nala resides in another row. More over, they did not have ant signage at the time I was there.
The concept was minimalist and humble. The gray wall made it simple. Natural light entered the shop via the glass window. I love it. They also had its backyard with a big table and corner table. They were not using their second storey, yet.
They did not serve latte. It was like drinking milk, they said. But latte has always been my favorite and when I asked for it, they did not mind to make one. I was impressed, I would say. Their latte boosted into top numbers of my list. Great texture and very palatable to my liking.
They also served savoury and sweet waffle and pastry. I had Dirty Coffee-50k : coffee based waffle, creme de luche, crumbles, Nala's coffee beans and vanilla ice cream. Waffle was kinda thin and very crunchy. It was not bad at all, but I prefer the one with crunchy outside fluffy inside kind of waffle. They said they made it that way for their waffle : crunchy for sweet waffle and fluffy for the savory one. It had its coffee after taste, slightly. It was still an enjoyable one, though.
Overall I did have a great time. I might be paying another visit if I were in the neighbourhood. A comfortable one indeed.

Wow, cool post. I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real hard work to make a great article... but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though. GallaCoffeeBlog
